COLIN FROM DORSET  WRITES:
Dear Chris, With many commitments other than fishing, I have limited fishing time how can your information benefit me?

Hi Colin, This is one often asked, the simple answer is that while limited time on the bank applies to most of us.  One needs to have a bait ready in the water at key points, which can be very few on the day and of short duration. Many times I have seen anglers miss out on these, sometimes by reeling in to go fetch something from the car. Or starting to pile bait in, obviously the least bait in at key points the better chance the hookbait will be taken.

ANDY FROM WELLING WRITES:
Chris having dowloaded the
lunabar I cannot find how to enter my region or see the L.O time as you call it?

Andy. You need to install the world.exe part of the program this will unzip and you can then select you region from the list, for L.O time add 12hrs 20mins to High Point time, this is approximate.

DAVE FROM BIRMINGHAM ASKS:
Just read an article by Archie Braddock in a monthly (coarse angling today), and he states that all venues have different times and if changing venue to start your data all over again, in your opinion is this true?

Dave, Afraid Archie is well off the mark with that! Something having such a major impact on our sport from a quarter of a million miles away has no difference north to south, and only one minute later every 12 or so miles west of greenwich. Angling pressure will effect what key points fish trigger on i.e they may only feed on the strongest point that day not the lesser ones. Check some of Archies catches

CARL FROM BRIDGWATER ASKS:
CHRIS HOW DO YOU KEEP HALF A TIN OF MEAT ON A HOOK?

Carl, check out the diagrams and write up

JOHN FROM LEYTON LONDON ASKS:
CHRIS THE OTHER NIGHT YOU HAD THE MOON AS FIRST QUARTER, WHEN I SAW IT, IT WAS HALF FULL. WHY IS THIS?

JOHN, THIS IS BECAUSE IT IS A QUARTER OF ITS FULL CYCLE, NOT SIZE.  FOR EXAMPLE ONE FULL MOON TO THE NEXT.  THIS TAKES ON AVERAGE 29 DAYS, 12 HOURS AND 44 MINUTES. IT'S AVERAGE ORBITAL SPEED IS 2,287 MILES PER HOUR. HOPE THAT CLEARS IT UP.

COLIN FROM MITCHAM ASKS:
CHRIS WITH YOUR MAIN FEEDING PERIODS COVERING 14 HOURS OF MOST DAYS THIS DOES NOT LEAVE LONG DEAD SPELLS, YOU ARE VIRTUALLY COVERING THE WHOLE DAY!  ALSO IF YOU TURN UP AN HOUR OR SO BEFORE WHAT YOU CALL A PEAK TIME IT IS OBVIOUS YOU ARE LIKELY TO CATCH ON THAT POINT?

HI COLIN PERIODS ARE AS LONG AS THEY ARE, IT MATTERS NOT ONE JOT IF THEY COVERED THE WHOLE DAY.  THE OBJECTIVE IS TO SEE IN MAIN POINTS (RISE,H.P, SET AND L.O) AND DOCUMENT FISH FOR FUTURE POINTS.

WHAT YOU ARE SAYING ABOUT CATCHING AN HOUR OR SO AFTER TURNING UP DOES NOT HOLD WATER, POINTS ARE ACCOMPANIED WITH CHANGES IN WIND!
